What is Security Dating Certificate

As per the word certificate, Security Dating Certificate is basically a document that proves that the person possessing it has gone through online dating background checks. These checks make sure that a user is a real person and not a bot (which are commonly used to scam people in dating sites), it also scans the record of that person to make sure that he/she has no criminal records related to online dating. Some people call this dating certificate agreement or safe dating agreement but they all mean the same thing.

Why is Security Dating Certificate Required

60% of people being asked for a Security Dating Certificate are asking “Why would I need one?”, online daters are now asking for a dating certificate mainly because of the security risks in dating sites.

If you are new in online dating there’s a high chance that you’re not aware of the crimes being committed in dating sites. There are multiple reports of criminals preying on innocent victims from dating sites, here’s an example from skynews:

Reported crimes related to online dating have risen dramatically in the last five years.

After three dates she broke up but despite not revealing where she lived he managed to track her down.
For almost 10 months she was too scared to leave her house.

These kinds of crimes have been the obvious reason why dating site members are so skeptical about meeting up personally with strangers they met online.

Upgrading your account has been the most common method used by dating sites to verify that registering users are not a bots. Here’s the explanation:

  • This is how dating sites make money. This is pretty obvious. Nothing’s actually free on the internet. It’s either you pay for a service like dating sites or they sell your personal information to advertisers.
  • Scammers can’t afford to pay for all dating sites that they enter. According to our research, scammers are trying to infiltrate hundreds of dating sites per day. That means they have to spend thousands of dollars daily if they choose to use paid dating sites.

How does Dating Security Certificate work

Once you sign up through a safe dating certification site, your name, age, & photo will undergo verification to make sure they are legit. In order to verify your name and age, you will either be required depending on the dating site to enter a credit card or upload proof of identity documents like a driver’s license. For the dating site to verify that you uploaded your real photo, the metadata will be reviewed to check if the photo was taken from a camera or was just downloaded from the internet. The date that the photo was taken will also be checked.

Snapmance.com is yet another fraud using the “age verification scam“. This is a scam in which the website tells you that they need your credit card information so they can verify you’re the legal age. But, what ends up happening is your credit card gets charged a monthly membership fee without your consent or knowledge. Continue reading as I break down exactly how this con works.

This website has been created to trick you into giving them your credit card information and then they’ll charge it.

Snapmance uses a variety of different techniques and tricks to entice you into joining their website.

The first trick they use is images of attractive looking girls that you subconsciously think that you can hook up with. This is the farthest thing from the truth and what actually happens is you get scammed which we will explain in further detail in this investigation.

The second thing they do is ask you a bunch of random questions that you need to answer. In reality you can answer these questions anyway you want to because you will always get access to their website. The reason they give you a bunch of questions to answer is to make it seem like this is a privilege to gain access to their website. The questions are all bogus and simply used as a marketing tactic.

After you finish answering all the questions they will congratulate you, then you click continue and then the scam officially start.

They Want Your Credit Card Info To Charge You $130 Per Month!

The real reason that the owners of Snapmance.com want your credit card information is not to verify your over 18 years of age. The agenda behind why they want your credit card info is so they can actually charge your credit card. Even though they won’t tell you but that’s exactly what happens.

Secure Casual Dating Scam

In grey fine print they do admit to charging your credit card. But most people aren’t paying attention they think that they have to submit their credit card information so they can verify they are the legal age of 18 years old.

What really happens is that they charge your credit card automatically after you give them your credit card information.

Snapmance give you a 2 day trial to a website called “Free Flirthookup”. But what happens is your credit card is automatically charged two days later for an amount of $39.95 per month, after the 2-day trial ends unless you cancel it. Then you get charges from another website called PremiumPornHD.com. You get a 7-day free trial membership that renews at $39.94 per month. On top of that you get billed another membership fee from XXXHDVault.com. You get a 10 day free trial which automatically renews at $49.95 per month.

When you add up all those charges it will equal out to almost $130 per month every single month until you cancel those charges!

(Screenshot of the credit card charges you receive because of this “age verification” fraud.)

Scam

That’s how the Snapmance.com scam works in a nutshell it’s really ridiculous! They want your credit card information so they can charge it, not for “age verification” purposes!

Secure

After you give them your credit card information you are redirected to another website called Secure-Joinlink.com (another scam).

They dupe a lot of people to give up their credit card information because they think they’re going to get laid which is never going to happen on these phony hookup sites.

Something else I’d like to note is that just because this particular scam has been blown wide open it does not mean there’s not another one waiting for you around the corner. You need to keep awake and alert. I have done hundreds and hundreds of reviews on casual dating sites and a large portion are fake. Never give out your credit card information to random websites.

Also if you have been entangled in this scheme contact your credit card company. Your credit card provider should be able to get you reimbursed for any of the scams that I’ve mentioned in this article.
